NDIS

The NDIS can be a little confusing sometimes. Allow us to make it simple.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a scheme created in 2013 to support individuals with a permanent and significant disability that are under the age of 65.

If you meet the eligibility criteria and qualify for NDIS financial support, The NDIS will provide you with funding to support your needs so that you are able to live the life you want.

If you’re not sure where to start, you can contact us or visit the NDIS website to learn more.

What supports will the NDIS fund?

NDIS funding may be used for a broad range of services including: accommodation, employment,
outdoor activities, allied health, daily personal activities, mobile equipment, community access and more!

How can the NDIS support me?

The NDIS delivers support in a number of ways:

1. The NDIS can provide you with information and connections to relevant services within your community such as doctors and schools.

2. The NDIS can provide you with access to government funding if you are eligible.

3. The NDIS can help you to access mainstream services and supports such as the health system.

4. Through the NDIS, a plan is created for you based on your own specific needs and goals.

Am I eligible for the NDIS?

Your eligibility for the NDIS will depend on a few factors:

1. Age requirements: You must be between 7-65 to receive NDIS support.

2. Residency requirements: You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or a Protected Special Category Visa Holder.

3. Disability requirements: You must be living with a disability caused by a permanent impairment.

4. Early Intervention requirements: You may be eligible for support in the present moment if it will reduce your need for support in the future.
